We shared the news of Cisco’s intent to acquire Slido last December and today, we’re excited to announce that the acquisition is now complete and Slido is officially part of Cisco.
Since we started Slido almost nine years ago, our vision has always been the same: to transform how meetings and events are run around the world. In today’s work environment, it has never been more important and challenging than to connect and collaborate. And meetings are a foundational way this happens.
Cisco’s mission is to power an inclusive future for all and deliver Webex experiences that are 10x better than in-person interactions. This is something that deeply resonates with us and that’s why we’re thrilled to join Cisco on this journey.
Webex + Slido: Creating 10x better meeting experiences
As part of the acquisition, Slido will bring key features to the Webex experience, including audience Q&A, live polls, and quizzes, in our most powerful integration to date.
With Slido integrated in the Cisco Webex platform, meeting hosts will soon be able to:
- Interact with their participants at scale: Collect ideas, opinions, or feedback in a couple of seconds – whether there are 10 people or hundreds in a meeting.
- Run inclusive Q&A sessions: Create a safe space for everyone to ask a question and upvote the most relevant ones.
- Make more effective and inclusive decisions: Streamline the decision-making process by putting a topic up for a vote and getting a quick pulse check of the room.
- Run a fun quiz: Bring the team together during team meetings or enhance the learning experience during training sessions with a bit of fun competition.
Slido to remain a standalone platform
While we’ll be creating more inclusive meetings together with Webex, Slido will remain a standalone platform and we will continue supporting all of our customers no matter what tools they use in their business.
We are committed to continually improving our core product experience and supporting rich integrations with other critical tools for our users.
